The 7-Day Speak-French Challenge

Five minutes a day. By day seven, your mouth moves differently.

One short passage a day, one sound a day, and my voice on every recording.

You can read it. You just can't say it yet.

You understand French. You mostly follow it when it is spoken. You have done the grammar, probably twice.

And then someone asks you a simple question, and your mouth does something you did not plan.

You are not alone, and it is not a knowledge problem. Most learners have never once said a full French sentence out loud on purpose. Your mouth has simply never been asked to do it.

That is a training problem,

and seven days is enough to feel it shift.

headphones listening

Écoute et lis

Listen and read along in silence.

You absorb the meaning and the rhythm before you say a word.

open mouth speaking

Écoute et répète

Repeat phrase by phrase, out loud.

This is where your mouth learns the shapes it has never made.

sound wave audio

Shadow

Speak at the same time as the audio,

at natural speed, without stopping. This is the part that changes you.

One sound a day, in the order that matters

Each passage is written to load one specific thing your mouth does not do yet.

Nothing is there by accident.

  • Jour 1, les lettres muettes,

    the letters you never say

  • Jour 2, les voyelles nasales, on, an, in

  • Jour 3, u contre ou,

the vowel English does not have

  • Jour 4, [e] vs [ɛ], two tricky sounds

  • Jour 5, h muet et h aspiré

  • Jour 6, les liaisons,

when to link and when you must not

  • Jour 7, les enchaînements,

why you cannot hear where words end

What lands in your inbox

  • Seven recordings in my voice, one per day, at natural speed

  • An 11 page colour coded PDF where grey letters are silent and a red mark shows you

    where two words join

  • A full English translation of every passage, so you never guess at meaning while you work

    on sound

  • A tracker you can fill in on screen, and what your score each day tells you about your ear

  • One rule a day in plain language, with the exceptions named instead of hidden

shadowing in three passes

Bonjour, I'm Marie-Juliette

French is actually my first language, not a second one I am teaching from a manual.

I used the shadowing method myself to train my accent in english and I know it works.

This challenge is the shadowing method behind my YouTube channel,

squeezed into its smallest possible form.

Seven days is not long enough to change your accent.

It is long enough to prove to yourself that it can.

Before you sign up

How much time does this actually take?

Five minutes a day, out loud, for seven days. That is the whole commitment. It works precisely because it is small enough that you will actually do it.

Is this for me?

It is built for B1 to C1. You read French comfortably, you mostly follow a conversation, and you still hesitate the moment it is your turn to speak. If you are still building your first few hundred words, come back later. You need something to pronounce first.

Do I need to be able to speak already?

No. You need to be willing to speak badly for five minutes a day. That is a different thing, and it is the only requirement.

What if I miss a day?

Pick it up where you left off. Seven sessions matter more than seven consecutive days, although doing them in a row does feel better at the end.

Is it really free?

Yes. No card, no trial. The PDF and the seven recordings are yours to keep.

Seven days. Five minutes.

Out loud.

Most people never say a word of French out loud. You are about to do it for a week.

Connaître le français c'est bien, le parler c'est mieux.
